Antonio Ratti founded the “Tessitura Serica Antonio Ratti” in Como for the creation and marketing of silk fabrics and soft accessories.
1958
The Guanzate plant was inaugurated for integrated-cycle silk processing operations, starting with the yarn to realise the finished product through weaving, dyeing, photoengraving, printing and finishing phases.
1973
Ratti Usa Inc. was established with offices in New York. Offices are now in: 8 West 38th Street11th Floor.
1985
Fondazione Antonio Ratti was founded to promote artistic, cultural and technological initiatives, research and studies in the field of textiles and contemporary art.
1989
Ratti S.p.A. Società Benefit was listed on the Milan Stock Exchange.
1991
Carnet became one of Ratti S.p.A. Società Benefit’s divisions, confirming its leadership in the textile sector with a clientele composed by fashion houses, designers and specialists from the world of Made-to-Measure.
1992
Ratti bought Creomoda Sarl, a company manufacturing textile accessories based in Tunisia.
1995
With the contribution of Fondazione Antonio Ratti, the Metropolitan Museum of New York opened the Antonio Ratti Textile Center, one of the largest and most technologically advanced facilities for the study and preservation of textiles.
1999
The Guanzate plant was completely refurbished further to a project by architect Luigi Caccia Dominioni.
2004
Ratti acquired Texrom Srl, a company located in Romania specialising in the printing of finished garments, knitwear and leather.
2005
Ratti Int. Trad. Co. Ltd. was created, with headquarters in Shanghai: Room 303B 118 Xinling Road Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Shanghai – China.
2010
Ratti joined the Marzotto Group.
2011
Ratti undertook a virtuous path of sustainable development in economic, environmental and social terms.
2017
The responsible collection was launched. The first accountability report was published.
2019
Ratti acquired part of the capital of Marielle srl, the historic knitwear factory founded in Florence in the early Sixties, which is a partner of the most important fashion houses worldwide.
