“Bellissima – Italy high fashion form 1945 to 1968”: the dresses that shaped the history of the Italian fashion and style.
At the great exhibition at Villa Reale in Monza, started the 24th of September, are displayed some of the most important “masterpiaces” of high fashion, coming from prestigious public and private collections.
With a selection of its vast archive, Ratti is present in the gallery dedicated to textiles, together with other brands of Marzotto Group: a unique collection of samples that testify the importance of our textile industry in design and promotion of Italian fashion, in the past as well as nowadays.
In the exhibition some of the most important institutions, including the Fondazione Antonio Ratti, are also involved, aimed to appraise our textile heritage.
Among dresses, textiles, accessories and jewelers, “Bellissima” offers a charming and suggestive tour of that extraordinary era for Italy, investigating in the relationships between fashion and figurative arts, cinema, photography, design with testimonies, publications and original documents.
Launched last year at MAXXI in Rome, the exhibition is now hosted at Villa Reale in Monza until the 10th of January 2016.
